Zesty Grilled Chicken Marinade

Print the recipe:


  • 1kg of Yoplait Greek Style Natural Yoghurt
  • 2 Garlic Cloves (minced)
  • Handful of Chives (chopped)
  • 1 Tablespoon of Lemon Zest
  • Juice of 1/2 a Lemon
  • ½ teaspoon Dried Chilli Flakes
  • Handful of chopped Parsley
  • 2 Chicken Breasts (cut in half horizontally)
  • Lemon Slices (for garnish)


  1. In a large oven-proof dish mix yoghurt, minced garlic, chives, lemon zest, lemon juice, chilli flakes and chopped parsley. 
  2. Prepare chicken by patting it dry with a paper towel and then place one hand on top of the breast and carefully cut each breast in half horizontally. 
  3. Cover the chicken breasts in the yoghurt marinade mix and then chill in the fridge for two hours. 
  4. 10 minutes before you commence cooking preheat oven to 210 degrees celsius. 
  5. Place chicken on the baking sheet and then bake in preheated oven for approximately 20-25 minutes. Grill at the end of this cooking time to achieve desired browning and flavour. 
  6. Serve this at a BBQ with wraps or pita pockets.
